Merger Announcement
The next time you come by our office, you will notice some changes. A reorganization of our firm has begun. A new partner has been added to the firm, Doug Burson.
Doug moved to the Greater Kansas City area in 1991. He and his wife, Faith, and daughter, Gabrielle, now reside right here in Raytown. He graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University. Doug has had a thriving tax and bookkeeping service in Raytown for the past 5 years and will be adding that business to our growing list of clients. He will be completing his CPA certification during the coming year. Doug’s expertise in tax and accounting will add to the services we are able to offer.
To accommodate office space for all of us, we have turned our former reception office into a fourth office. Since Ray had decided to start “inching” his way toward retirement, he has volunteered to move his office to this somewhat smaller office to allow the two former offices to be used by Cindy and Doug. These changes will allow us to continue to provide each of you with the same quality of service you have always had in the past and to allow our firm to continue to grow.
If you are in the area, stop by and see the changes being made and welcome Doug to the firm. And, as always, if you have any questions or are in need of service, all of us here at Downing & Strickland, L.L.C. – Cindy, Doug, Ray, and Betty – are available to assist you.
